daily reminder

ink pen on tracing paper, masking tape, variable dimensions, 2024
Daily reminder consists of an exploration of moments of daily life that seem so banal that sometimes go unnoticed. By using a surface that resembles to-do lists or “post-it” papers, the work aimed to evoke the commonplace of the everyday life, and layers were created to evoke the constant movement and change that exists in these small acts of touch and affection.

The point of encounter — with someone, with something, or even with oneself — is momentarily and doomed to change in seconds; it’s a loss of control. Therefore, the work brings a personal reflection of what the artist wishes to be reminded to do constantly: to touch, to share intimacies, to express affection and to feel present in the world with her own physical existence. A deeper reflection on the process and the materiality of Daily reminder can be found on the Summer break: artist residency page here.
